The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services provides administrative support to the Youth & Family Ombudsman Office.
The Youth and Family Ombudsmen Office opened in 2022 and investigates and attempts to resolve complaints made by or on behalf of children and families involved with public children services agencies. These can include Title IV-E agencies, or private provider agencies that administer or oversee foster care or placement services for the children services system.
Youth and families each have an independent ombudsman who can answer questions, review concerns, and propose next steps to ensure the independent and impartial review of youth, family, and community complaints or concerns.
All residents at Second Chance Dayton will have private access to a phone or computer to contact the Ohio Youth Ombudsman.
