Whether you're majoring in child hood development, education, psychology, social work, sociology, social work, or any other social science programs, internships are an essential part of the learning process. Internships allow you to progressively and strategically grow your skill sets. Here at Second Chance Dayton Group Home we offer our interns the opportunities for mentorship and networking, broadening their connections for their eventual job search. An internship also exposes interns to different leadership styles, work environments, and effectively allows them to "test out" one or more career paths.
Eligibility
Students must have at least a 2.7 overall GPA and have junior standing prior to the commencement of an internship
The internship should be related to the student's career goals
Students must complete their principle classes for the subject area prior to starting the internship.
Students should have sufficient background and maturity to learn from the experience
Students must have completed New Hire Training offered by the Human Resources Director (prior to the start date of the internship)
